Medical information on SygmaLift HIFU
SygmaLift is a device platform that delivers high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU/MFU) energy to selected tissue depths. The aim is to stimulate a tissue-remodeling response by creating controlled thermal focal points. It is not the same procedure as a surgical facelift and cannot be presented as equivalent to the changes that surgery can provide.
Systematic reviews have reported modest improvements in mild to moderate facial and neck skin laxity; however, they have shown marked differences in devices, energy settings, treatment plans, and measurement methods. Expected outcomes may be more limited in severe laxity.
Pain or tenderness may occur during the procedure, followed by redness, edema, bruising, and temporary sensory changes. Burns, linear marks, nerve effects, or unintended adipose tissue loss have been reported rarely. Conditions such as an infection in the treatment area, implants, nerve disorders, and pregnancy are assessed separately.
