Ozone Procedures

A consultation on the level of evidence, uncertainties, and safety limitations of ozone procedures.

Ozone Procedures

Evidence-based information on ozone procedures

Different routes of ozone administration have been investigated for various diseases. A 2026 umbrella review reported that the certainty of evidence in meta-analyses of randomized trials was low or very low and that safety data were insufficient and inconsistently reported. Ozone therefore cannot be presented with promises of general ‘immune boosting,’ ‘detoxification,’ rejuvenation, or the treatment of numerous diseases.

Possible risks vary according to the route of administration; pain, venous-access complications, infection, oxidative tissue damage, and serious complications from improper gas administration may occur. This appointment is only for a physician consultation about the evidence and eligibility; it is not a commitment to an outcome or a routine procedure.

This text is intended for general information and is not personalized diagnostic or treatment advice. Eligibility is determined after a medical history and examination. Outcomes may vary from person to person; a specific result cannot be guaranteed.
