Gold Needle – Radiofrequency Microneedling (Pinxel)

Information on radiofrequency microneedling (Pinxel)

Radiofrequency microneedling is a method that delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to selected tissue depths through fine needles. The aim is to stimulate tissue remodeling by creating a controlled thermal response. The treatment plan varies according to skin type, scar type, active disease, and pigmentation risk.

A 2025 systematic review reported that it may be beneficial for acne scars, but that more randomized trials are needed to determine the most appropriate parameters. Common effects are pain, redness, and swelling. Crusting, a temporary acne flare, infection, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, burns, and scarring may occur less commonly. Active infection, uncontrolled skin disease, a bleeding tendency, and certain implants are assessed separately.
