Information on hair removal
Hair removal is the general term for procedures intended to remove unwanted hair. The method to be used is determined after assessment according to skin type, hair color and thickness, treatment area, and the person’s medical history. The number and interval of procedures vary from person to person; a permanent or definite result cannot be guaranteed.
Possible risks
Temporary redness, tenderness, and swelling may occur after the procedure. Less commonly, burns, crusting, color changes (darkening or lightening), and inflammation of the hair follicles may develop. Recent sun exposure, an active skin infection, use of photosensitizing medication, pregnancy, and certain hormonal conditions should be assessed separately.
